RAFFLE!
For those that don’t know, my beloved Sassy kitty, who I’ve had for nine years old, is not well. She will be going in for an endoscopic biopsy at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in two days to determine whether she has Inflammatory Bowel Disease or Lymphoma.
The cost of this procedure, as well as the possibility of chemotherapy, is not cheap and will cost me roughly $2000. As a first year veterinary student, I’m on a fixed limited income, and the cost of Sassy’s medical procedures is putting a heavy financial burden on me. In hopes of being able to afford both her treatment and groceries for the next quarter, I’m holding a raffle to try and raise money for her care.
As prizes, I am offering up three skeins of Wollmeise and three skeins of Cider Moon.

The colors of the Wollmeise are Tiefer See, Vielchen and a skein from the 1st installment of the sock club.

Tiefer See

Vielchen
The colors and bases of the Cider Moon are Flurry in Orinico, Glacier in Blue Ridge Parkway, and Icicle in Tatiana. Those are ravelry links, since the photostream links have expired. I’ll get new pictures up this week.
Every $5.00 donation will earn you an entry into the raffle, and, if by some small miracle, I manage to raise more than I need, donations in excess of Sassy’s medical treatment will benefit the UC Davis Orphan Kitten Project, which takes in unweaned kittens from the local shelter and raises them until they can be adopted.
Donations can be made via PayPal to themidnightfae@yahoo.com or by check. Please email me for an address, or with any questions.
And, of course, here’s the lovely girl you’ll be helping.

Thank you!

I just made a donation, but forgot to note that I’m mspalmtree on ravelry…it came from sundazed1. Good luck. I don’t even care if I win (well I would like to, of course) but I just would like Sassy to be well most of all. Would you like me to link your raffle on my blog?

When is the raffle prize going to be picked? What I really want to know is, can I still enter?
I know what you are going through with your kitty. Our siamese, Silly, had the same procedure in February. He has IBD and is on steroids and doing well. Our Maine Coon, Chewie, had swelling on the elbow and after biopsy, it was determined that he had a granuloma, typically common on older large breed dogs.
