1. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept.
2. A carnival performer whose show consists of bizarre acts, such as biting the head off a live chicken.
3. Someone who finds unabashed passion in things that others believe do not matter.

My passion is yarn. And sheep. And fiber. I love the colors, the texture, and the sense of accomplishment when I finish an item. I also admit that most of the world thinks I’m crazy. I’m ok with this.

A California native stuck in the desert, I’m not quite sure how I got here. While I’m here, however, I’ve been biding my time working towards and B.S. in Biology at ASU and, hopefully, will be going to veterinary school in the fall. Until then, I’m working as a veterinary technician for the Arizona Humane Society where I bide my time, saving the world one animal at a time.

When I’m not championing my four-legged friends, I knit. A lot. And I’m well on my way to burying the apartment in yarn. Everyone needs a goal.
